Day 9 was the first quiet day we have had this session. It was needed. The WEA lobby team had an opportunity to catch up and further strategize for the rest of the session.

We need your help with two issues. Please send emails on both.

#1 Please email Representatives making them aware that they should support the proposed budget amendment that would require the Wyoming Department of Education to explore using a growth model for student assessment. Representative Mary Throne has been working hard on this issue. Please thank her for bringing this idea forward.

#2 Please email Senators telling them to support SF 29 – Public library endowment challenge program. This bill provides public libraries an opportunity to raise funding through a matching endowment program. Obviously, our public libraries are critical to education.
