Position Posting: Graphic Designer/Office Assistant

The Wyoming Education Association is seeking a graphic artist who can follow brand standards, think creatively to deliver thoughtful solutions in a variety of mediums. This graphic artist should have a high understanding of color use including current trends in the marketplace applicable to concepts being worked on. Taking pride in work and paying close attention to detail in all aspects of creativity is very important as well as working with a great attitude and able to work well with others under tight deadlines.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Work effectively and efficiently with the WEA Communications Director, and other WEA Staff as necessary
  • Design and layout of the WEA News magazine and all promotional materials
  • Website layout and content updates
  • Create timely content for the WEA app
  • Coordinate and track billing for the advertising budget
  • Publish and track Statewide online elections through Survey Monkey

 

PERIPHERAL DUTIES

  • Meets expectations and deliverables on time and with high quality products
  • Demonstrates creative, technical and analytical skills
  • Communicates effectively and works collaboratively with variety of team members
  • Brings innovative and interesting ideas to the project development process
  • Attends meetings and planning sessions when necessary
  • Assists with office duties including purchasing, answering phones and reception
  • Potentially assists with Business Office duties
  • Performs other duties as assigned

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, PhotoShop, Illustrator)
  • Proficiency in social media platforms
  • Proficiency MS Office
  • Knowledge in Salesforce Marketing Cloud also helpful, but not required
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to problem solve creatively and effectively
  • Exposure to photography and/or video production is helpful to this position, but not required
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to teamwork
  • Demonstrated problem solving abilities
  • Ability to adapt to changing technologies and platforms
  • Excellent time management

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstration of previous experience preferred
  • May be required to pass employer performance test
  • Driver license and insurance

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Works in an office setting
  • School/Building visits
  • Some travel required
  • Some weekend work required

 

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Starting at $34,264 – Pursuant to the WEA/WEASO 2015-2017 Negotiations Agreement
