Remembering Sandy Hook Elementary
Many of you have asked how you can help and where you can send donations. The Sandy Hook Memorial and Scholarship Fund, administered through the Connecticut Education Foundation, will dedicate a bronze sculpture memorializing the remarkable heroism, the extreme sacrifice, and the innocent lives lost. The scholarship fund will benefit surviving siblings of those children who lost their lives, surviving children of the Sandy Hook Elementary School, and children of the teachers who sacrificed their lives while protecting their students.
We are asking every local to support the Sandy Hook Memorial and Scholarship Fund by making a donation at the 2013 WEA Delegate Assembly April 4-6 in Casper.
Please help WEA honor the twenty-six children and professional educators that lost their lives in this horrible tragedy.
