Request for Proposal: Logo/Branding Redesign

The Wyoming Education Association (WEA) wishes to establish a new logo and branding to use beginning in 2026 to build an enhanced brand awareness across the state and within the audiences it serves. WEA seeks a creative, well qualified graphic designer, design firm or agency to create a dynamic graphic logo that will also establish a new brand color set and font style for our marketing materials.

ABOUT WYOMING EDUCATION ASSOCIATION

Wyoming Education Association (WEA) members work in Wyoming’s schools, colleges, and the university to help improve public education and the lives of Wyoming’s students. WEA members–more than 5,000 strong–provide a wide range of professional education services in communities throughout the state.

Since 1892, the WEA has been working to make schools better and improve public education. Our association is dedicated to working in partnership with parents, community leaders and elected officials to help Wyoming’s students and improve public education.

The WEA’s purpose is to promote the cause of public education and improve the quality of teaching and learning. Through our more than 100-year history, WEA members have been involved in every struggle and effort to advance the finest of America’s dreams: universal, free, equitable and high-quality public education for every child.

PROJECT OVERVIEW & SCOPE

While recognizable and known among members, the WEA’s current logo and brand color set was established several years ago. However, its outdated design does not effectively work in printed or digital assets, and no longer fully serves as a representation of the organization and its work for education professionals and as an advocate for public education across Wyoming.

WEA seeks a more relevant, impactful and current logo that accurately reflects the organization. The logo needs to be used effectively across all media for marketing purposes including print, website and social media.

Scope of Work

The scope of the project will extend from initial project review to creation and include:

  • Project review with WEA stakeholders to discuss background and direction.
  • Present 2‐3 concepts for a new logo for consideration; presentations may be in‐person or online. As a member-driven organization, it is anticipated that membership vote will determine the final selection.
  • Once selected, provide the final digital files (in multiple appropriate formats) of the approved logo in full‐color, single color and grayscale formats.
  • Provide a secondary set of colors to complement the logo colors for use in marketing materials.
  • Provide appropriate font files for the logo.

Itemized Pricing

Proposals must include an estimated cost for all work related to the tasks and deliverables outlined in the scope of work. A total estimate for deliverables is required. Proposals should clearly outline how time and cost overruns would be handled, including how the designer or agency alerts the client and negotiates unanticipated changes or delays.

Expenses for respondent’s preparation and participation in the RFP process, including, but not limited to, interviews, document preparation, communications, presentations, and demonstrations, are entirely the responsibility of the respondent and not billable to WEA.

The proposal submitted in response to the RFP shall remain firm and valid for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of your submission. WEA will negotiate contract terms upon selection. All contracts are subject to review by WEA officials.
